Floral in Concrete/Modern Romance is series of photographs depicting the current trends of pastel colors with floral accessories.
Since the pandemic shunned spring-time, summer has been dedicated to embracing the beauty of what has been missed, Summer 2020 has been devoted to floral print, lace, and tie-dye fashion trends. Brands like House of CB created collection devoted to floral prints in various silhouettes, which launched in early July, Jacquemus Summer 20 line was a huge success this year, the designer had a large variety of floral and pastel tone designs.
Floral in Concrete/Modern Romance concept was inspired by a British Vogue cover. The cover focused on flowers emerging from concrete. The edition was devoted to the ideology of Rest and re-submerging from this setback. Floral in Concrete/Modern Romance is a love letter to ourselves during this difficult times. It's a form of reseting with ourselves and embracing nature.
Due to respect and following the CDC guidelines, the series was developed at home. Though the images, were taken inside, it still represents that beauty can blossom through anything.
